Julia Ann Obtains Nod from the AVN

The AVN Media Network proclaimed that the 2017 AVN Award nomination has started last week. The finalists in over 100 categories got to party and have fun with their evocative nods, setting the podium for weeks of expectation until January.

This year is the category “Best Marketing Campaign: Individual Project”. Amongst the fifteen nominations was the nod to the activist and performer Julie Ann & her “No on Prop 60” promotion.  Prop 60 will have authorized condom usage in the content production across the entire California, amongst some other harmful provisions. Ann used to show at Imlive site. Imlive is one of the biggest cam sites online.

But because of the activism that was led by Julia Ann, the proposition didn’t pass. The No on Prop 60 campaign came with a selection of on the ground & online activism & outreach which involve demonstrations, informative commercials, Twitter campaigns and Julia Ann signature avatar brooches. During the Election Day 2016, there were hundreds of community members, and performers including civilian supporters changed their avatars using different online platforms as a way for them to show their support on the No on Prop 60.  Industry pride, support and unity were unprecedented and palpable.

Julia Ann said, “I’m blown away by my nomination for the ‘No on Prop 60’ campaign,” she continued. “The best recognition for something you’ve been a part of is the one you never expected to be recognized for.” Voters from California jettisoned the Prop 60 with a rate ranging from 54.3 percent to 45.7 percent. It’s necessary to take note that the Prop 60 passed in 5 counties of the state which include the Los Angeles County.
